Does that not bring comfort to your heart?

As-Sami; The Hearer of All

Al-Ghafur; The Forgiver and Hider of Faults

Al-Basit; The Reliever

Al-Wali; The Protecting Friend

.. These are only 4 of the 99 names of Allah.

Does that not bring comfort to your heart?

He is the All Hearer. He hears everything we say, the good and the bad, he hears the emotions we express in our Dua’s, the very Dua’s that we make to him whilst tears stream down our cheeks, the Dua’s we make and where we plead for Him to forgive our souls.

He is the Forgiver and Hider of faults. He is the one to whom we shall beg for forgiveness, He is the best of Forgivers. It is He who will forgive us for using foul language, it is He who will forgive us for the sins we take part it, and it is He who is the One that will hide them on the Day of Judgement.

Does that not bring comfort to your heart?

He is the Reliever, of all things, rely on Him and He will bring you relief. From pain, from stress, from family problems, from work, from life. Put your Trust in Him and through His Mercy, will He bring you relief.

Does that not bring comfort to your heart?

He is the Protecting Friend. The One that is always by your side, The One that will give you the help you need, anywhere and time, Call upon Him and He will protect. He is the Only One that will never turn His back on you.

Does that not bring comfort to your heart?

change; you either love it or hate it

When it comes to people changing, there are a lot of comments as to why someone may want to change. Change; it may be their physical appearance, it may be an inner change or maybe a change in lifestyle, either way change can be either applauded or criticized.

Change does not mean that you have changed into someone your not, change means your growing, it means your maturing, it means your able to see and implement new things in your life.

Change is a process of life, growing is inevitable and we as fellow human beings need to adapt. There is no time limit to be whoever you want to be or to live the way please, we can either make the best or the worst of it.

We all hope to meet new people, some may have different points of view, some may share the same beliefs but with it all, you have to live a life you’re proud of. You have to give as much as you can, you have to accept that things may not always go according to plan or that some things in life are never meant to be.

Either way, we have to learn to understand that everything in this world, is written. We live according to His plans, and it is His plans that are better for us, more than we know.

If you feel like you have not experienced the best of life, and that you could do better, then I sincerely hope and pray that you have the courage to get up and start again.

– Allah swt is most merciful, Ya Ar’Rahim.

How To Deal With Regret

Everything happens for a reason, it’s up to us to make sure we take the positive side of things.

Words of encouragement by 2HelpfulGuys –

Sometimes I ask myself – “do you feel like you should be different? Or act differently? Or feel differently?”

I don’t know if everyone asks himself or herself the same questions. Maybe you can quell my thoughts in the comments section below.

Recently, I’ve come to a realization. Everything that I have been through – the ups, the downs, the struggles and turmoil and everything in between – have made me the person I am today.

Regret is insignificant. No matter how hard we try, at this very moment, nothing about the past can be undone.

Regret is backward thinking

When you look to the past for answers, you are fighting an uphill battle. You desperately struggle as you battle the ravaging tides and the harsh winds.

Eckhart Tolle believes your egoic won’t let the past go because it needs it to feel alive. Your egoic mind wants to feel…

Jannah – you get lost in the beauty

In the Qur’an, Allah (swt) describes a glorious life of perfect and endless beauty in Paradise.

The Qur’an tells us about Paradise/Jannah, which Allah offers to us, it describes its great blessings, and proclaims its beauties to everyone. It informs us that Paradise is one of two ways of life prepared for us in the hereafter, and that every good thing will be ours in Paradise to a degree that surpasses our present ability to imagine.

The Qur’an also shows that Paradise, is a place where all blessings have been created perfectly and where we will be offered everything our souls and hearts will desire; that we will be far removed from want and need, anxiety or sadness, sorrow and regret. Every kind of beauty and blessing exists in Paradise and will be revealed with a perfection never seen or known before.

Allah has prepared such blessings there as a gift, and these will be offered only to people with whom He is pleased.

Let Jannah be our goal, Let Jannah be our dream, Let Jannah be our destination.

In Sha Allah.

Boycotting after War: How come they only fix the bridge after somebody has fallen?

Possibly the best post I have read to date! ~

alwomen | النساء

As I help my mother with her shopping bags I notice an assortment of items from companies I decided to boycott during the war on Gaza last summer. Nescafé, Coca Cola, Polo mints all from the supermarket giant Tesco. However, beyond our weekly shop I have had a personal struggle, one which actually prevents me from enjoying the one thing that I love other than writing and politics and that is beauty and makeup.

israel Shujaiiyya neighbourhood in Gaza, July 2014

Makeup companies such as MAC, Esteè Lauder and Bobbi Brown are part of an umbrella company linked with supplying Israel with the means to destroy Gaza as they did during the summer. The turning point for me was the day I saw raw footage straight from Shujaiya, Gaza. The neighbourhood was completed devastated and bodies of civilians laid in the street. One particular clip from the video was of a…

International women’s day!

-8th March 2015-

As today is a day dedicated to women all over the world, I want to dedicate this one to a very special someone.

My love, life and soul.

My dearest and nearest.

My friend and my mother.

To the lady that carried me for 9months, and then took care of me for the next 19 years, I owe you my whole life, nothing I do will ever compare to the amount of love and mercy you have given me over the years.

It was you who took care of me during the late hours of the night when I’d crawl out of bed and into yours. It was you who woke me during the early hours of the morning to get me ready for school – it was your dream to see me grow up educated. It was you who attended my school plays and it was you who gave life to me.

I am grateful, eternally grateful.

Thank-you.

Yours truly,

Your loving daughter x

(Abdullah Ibn Abbâs (may Allah be pleased with him) (d. 687CE), a companions of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and a great scholar of Islam, considered kind treatment of one’s mother to be the best deed for strengthening or rectifying one’s relation with Allah. He said:

“I know of no other deed that brings people closer to Allah than kind treatment and respect towards one’s mother.”[Al-Adab al-Mufrad Bukhârî 1/45])

May Allah swt grant you the highest levels of Jannah, may the gates of paradise whisper your name and call for you. May I see your smile forever and always. Ameen.

I love you mama.

World Book day 2015

As it is world book day today I have decided to devote my full afternoon to reading. I am currently reading ‘The Holy Woman’ by Qaisra Shahraz and I have already fallen in love. The book is about a beautiful glamorous woman who instead of marrying the man of her dreams, is forced into obeying her fathers wishes of marrying the Holy Qu’ran – to become the holy woman.

It truly is an epic drama of love, passion and betrayal as described in the blurb.

I can not wait to reach the end and see what this journey brings forth.
